The Past Unperfect
Blues, Country, Rock • United Kingdom
The Past Unperfect is an experienced trio of London-based musicians who are passionate about performing original music. We create music that tells our stories — and we have plenty of those. We blend blues and alt-country, combining the sound of electric guitars with folk drums. Every story needs its own language and sound, and cannot be confined to a genre like a bird in a cage. We're inspired by the late Johnny Cash, the early Tom Waits, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters. The band actively performs and has participated in the Broadstairs Blues Bash in 2025 and 2026. Our songs might be heard on London radio stations such as Resonance FM, Exile FM, Shoreditch Radio and Deal Radio. Our debut album, Not Perfect But Real, was released in 2026.
